The 2018 hurricane season has been extraordinarily active in parts of the U.S., with Hurricane Florence currently impacting millions in the Carolinas. As this natural disaster unfolds, the staff here at VolunteerMatch is doing its part to ensure that, if you are in an affected community, you are prepared and safe. Every year we help educate thousands of students throughout the nation and in South Africa on the topic of financial literacy. We are a volunteer-driven, community-oriented organization that thrives on inspiring students to take better control of their financial future. As a volunteer you would be a strong community role model and it would only take up a small portion of your time. We will meet for approximately 2 hours for a presenter training to cover the ins and outs of how to teach the banking, savings & investing and credit classes. After that we will provide you with all the resources and knowledge you need to teach at designated schools within your community. You only to commit to teach at days and times that fit your schedule.
Our programs are enhanced by the career experience and personal knowledge of our volunteer teachers, many of whom work in or are retired from the finance, insurance or education industry. Our program offers you a rewarding way to give back to your community in a fun and easy way.
