To advocate, educate and solicit funds to improve the quality of life of patients with mental illness and the staff who serve them.

Description

Austin State Hospital is one of three state funded facilities that provides care for children with acute mental illness, in additon to adults. It serves 67 counties in central Texas. The Volunteer Services Council works cooperatively with the hospital to enrich the lives of the patients through various programs.
