Lancaster Lebanon Habitat for Humanity does more than build homes and faith. It also builds leaders. Habitat provides hands-on training and mentorship for new leaders working alongside staff on our construction sites. You will develop new construction and leadership skills while at the same time enriching your community. You will have the opportunity to build a team and build a home from the ground up. Habitat is looking for new leaders to share in this challenge! The Crew Leader’s principal function is to coach the volunteers to produce acceptable results in a safe manner. A Crew Leader can usually guide four to five unskilled or semi-skilled volunteers. Crew Leaders demonstrate tasks, maintain standards, monitor safety, and assure that the volunteers have enough meaningful work to have a satisfying experience. A Crew Leader should be a people person, possess some basic construction aptitude, enjoy leadership, and be able to learn tasks quickly and then demonstrate those tasks to others. Our crews are currently working in Lebanon City and Lancaster City with a new project starting in Columbia in April! Please contact Audrey Lilley at Audrey@LLHFH.org if you are interested in learning more about joining the team to support affordable homeownership in our community!

Volunteering at the Lancaster Lebanon Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a fun way to make a difference in our community without swinging a hammer or getting your boots muddy. The Habitat ReStore is a non-profit business specializing in the resale of new and gently used building materials and supplies to the public. Proceeds from the sale of donated items at the ReStore directly benefit Lancaster Lebanon Habitat for Humanity's efforts to build homes in partnership with low to moderate-income families in our community. Our ReStore volunteers keep busy by: assisting customers with the sales process; keeping merchandise organized on the sales floor; staging and merchandising of items; keeping the drop-off area/warehouse clean, safe, and organized; creating decorative displays, and everything in between! The ReStore is open Tuesday - Friday from 9am to 4pm and on Saturdays from 9am-3pm. Flexible volunteer shifts are available! The minimum age to volunteer is 14. All volunteers ages 14 & 15 must have an adult chaperone with them. Volunteers who are 16+ may volunteer independently.
