Helping Others Pursue Excellence The mission of Project HOPE is to empower inner city youth and families to live positive, productive and successful lives. We promote academic success and the understanding and practice of positive life and leadership skills necessary for individuals to overcome their own circumstances, be successful, and teach others to do the same.
Project H.O.P.E. aims to create a positive motivational environment whereby youth and their families may realize the importance of connecting family guidance and support to education in order to achieve maximum academic potential. We feel that by equipping parents with training, tools, and the necessary materials, we will break down the walls of denial and frustration when dealing with a child who is struggling to get through school. Project H.O.P.E. is a year-around educational and parenting program offering extra hours of supplemental classroom instruction to underachieving elementary school students. This supplemental instruction is offered within the context of a five week Summer Term and a nine week up to six months after school term depending on individual need and progress. Upon completion of a session students will be matched with an academic mentor who will continue work with them throughout the school year. Three components make up this program:
