Since 1931, the nonprofit National Housing Conference (NHC) has been dedicated to helping ensure safe, decent and affordable housing for all in America.

NHC has earned its strong reputation as the United Voice for Housing by actively engaging and convening its membership in nonpartisan advocacy for effective housing policy solutions at the local, state and national levels.

Description

NHC Convenes its members, stakeholders and others to improve coordination of diverse agendas and build consensus on key housing issues.

NHC Advocates for policies and legislation focused on meeting the full range of housing concerns, working to:

  • Strengthen the nation's housing finance system;
  • Prevent foreclosures and stabilize impacted neighborhoods;
  • Improve the coordination of housing, transportation and energy policy; and
  • Assist low- and moderate-income families through a stronger, balanced housing policy.
