Mission Statement

Project RISHI's Clinical Project Team is specifically working on trying to recruit medical school students from medical schools in any country. Our goal is to find a medical student to volunteer in our primary healthcare clinic in Vadamanappakkam, a village located in the interiors of Tamil Nadu.

Description

Project RISHI at the University of California, Berkeley, is a non-profit organization whose mission is to assist in the aims of rural Indian villages toward social, health, and economic development. In order to raise the standards of living in rural communities, we aim to identify, research, and collaboratively devise sustainable solutions in partnership with local community members. Our organization currently works in Vadamanappakkam. We have already built a medical clinic to act as the main source of primary health care for the community, and we have realized in this endeavor that we cannot fully achieve our goals without your support.
