Description
ONSC is a nonprofit environmental education and field science facilty established in 1990 on nearly 500 acres of Arkansas Natural Heritage Commission land in the Ozarks of northwest Arkansas.
We serve approximately 4,000 children annually through our overnight school excursions and summer camps in addition to offering adult and family programs, corporate retreats, facility rentals, team building, courses through our Outdoor Skills Institute and many other special programs.
Children often have their first significant outdoor experience at ONSC and make connections to the natural world. The ONSC experience includes hiking, exploration, hands-on learning, healthy food choices and lessons on ecology, conservation and natural sciences.
While schools pay for our programs, they do not pay our true cost per child, meaning we lose money on every kid we serve.
