Mission Statement

AgeSong Senior Communities provide residential care including independent living, assisted living and secure dementia care (memory care) services.

However, defining our programs by their categories does not begin to adequately describe the vision of our company. It is the attitude of all who are involved in AgeSong and the approach to care and services that help to inspire and define the AgeSong vision. Our founder Nader Shabahangi explains: "Our vision is to help create a more accepting, loving and caring human being based on the idea of developing the virtues of the elder within all of us. Looking at life from the long view, we humans mature and grow each day in order to slowly become this ripe elder. AgeSong regards aging as most desirable because it is the aging process that allows us to grow and develop the virtues of an elder."

Our six Bay Area communities work towards living our vision, daily and celebrating the engagement that happens and gifts we receive when we are open to accepting people for who they are -- old, young, independent, frail, forgetful. We all have something to offer each other.
