Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide ongoing
information and community education for diabetes mellitus by advocating for
daily exercise and food modifications in the diets of adults and kids. The
overall goal is to combine resources with other agencies to reduce diabetes mellitus in public and private schools by 10% percent over the next 10 years in the state of Georgia.

Description

Our Model for success..

  • Host annual food diabetes workshop featuring the top chefs in the state

  • Lobby at the Georgia General Assembly for legislation on diabetes awareness in public
    schools.

  • Promote marathon exercise as a valuable means of reducing diabetes, promoting diabetes
    awareness and exercise discipline

  • Establish community diabetic leaders to educate neighbors and friends
