Through education, awareness, and assistance, we are committed to providing emotional, physical, and financial support to the numerous individuals in North Carolina who are fighting the battle against cancer.

SERVICES OFFERED

Carolina Cancer Services, Inc. provides the following services, free of charge, to all qualified clients.

Medication Assistance - For clients who meet the eligibility requirements, we provide assistance with the purchase of cancer medication and medication for conditions related to cancer and its treatments.

Support Groups - CCS, Inc. sponsors support groups. Please call our office for descriptions of current support groups and meeting times. These meetings are open to both individuals with cancer and their loved ones.

Library/Education - Our lending library has a diverse selection of books, videos, and research material on cancer. We also have numerous informational brochures available on various types of cancer.

Individual Telephone Support - Volunteers are available to be matched with clients to provide individual support through telephone calls. Clients are matched to volunteers who have experienced the same type of cancer.

Visitation Program - Clients and their families, upon request, are visited at home or in the hospital by volunteers who provide both informational literature and emotional support.

Home Health Equipment and Supplies - We have a variety of equipment and supplies available for loan (i.e. canes, walkers, wheelchairs, shower stools, bedside commodes, hospital beds, etc.).

Day-to-Day Necessities - CCS also provides a selection of day-to-day necessities, such as toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, for those who need them. We also have a wide variety of wigs, turbans, bandanas, and hats for individuals experiencing hair loss.

Transportation - Transportation may be provided to and from both chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
