Mission Statement

The Association is organized to establish closer relations between the Main Library of the El Paso Public Library and the people it serves; to promote informed interest in its function, resources, services and needs; to confer with the staff of the Main Library on matters relating to the welfare of the institution; to stimulate and receive gifts, e ndowments and bequests for the benefit of the Main Library; and to support the development of a program for the improvement of the Library's services and resources. Description

Additionally, the Association is organized exclusively for the education and philanthropic purposes within the meaning of Internal Revenue Codes Section 501(c)(3) and the Texas Tax Code Section 11.18(c)(i). Specifically, the Association is organized to solicit, collect and use donations of money (whether in the form of cash or non-cash items), and other personal property from persons and entities for the specific purposes enumerated above. The friends do accept monetary donations!
