Mission Statement
Illinois for Health Care is a non-partisan organization that is uniting working families, small business owners, seniors, health care workers, community leaders, and policy makers to win common-sense solutions that increase access to reliable, affordable health care coverage for ALL.
Description
Our mission is to: Lower health care costs and reduce the number of uninsured, which in Illinois exceeds 1.7 million people, or more than 14% of the stateà  à ¢à  à  à  à  s population. à  à ¢à  à  à  à ¢ Level the playing field for small businesses competing with giant, profitable corporations who arenà  à ¢à  à  à  à  t even attempting to offer their employees affordable coverage. Half the small businesses in Illinois do not offer health insurance to their employees. à  à ¢à  à  à  à ¢ Create fairness for hardworking, taxpaying Illinoisans who canà  à ¢à  à  à  à  t afford health care coverage. Eight out of 10 uninsured people in Illinois are in families with at least one full or part-time worker.
