LUK Mentoring

MAKE A FRIEND! MAKE A DIFFERENCE! A little bit of time goes a long way and you can have fun while changing lives. The LUK Mentoring Program pairs caring, concerned role models with youth who will benefit from additional support. Mentoring is about positively impacting a young persons life by developing a long lasting friendship. Community based mentors meet with their mentee on their own and do a variety of activities out in the community. Community Based mentors are allowed to meet in person following CDC/agency guidelines, if all participants are in agreement. We are also accepting volunteer mentors who prefer to build a mentoring relationship remotely. Site based mentors meet during the school year. Our site based mentoring opportunity meets at Plumley Village in Worcester on Thursdays from 3:00 - 4:00 and another group from 4:00 - 5:00 PM. A new site-based program will start at Great Brook Valley in Worcester in January. The days/time TBD. The LUK Mentoring Program is funded in part by the Office of Juvenile Justice Delinquency Prevention, Mass Mentoring Partnership and the Amelia Peabody Foundation.
