Mission Statement
Providing a fund raising oppertunity benefiting the efforts of the Seattle Fishermen's Memorial Committee, which provides services to survivors of fishermen lost at sea, sponsors water safety-awareness programs and seamanship projects, and cares for the upkeep of Fishermen's Memorial at Fishermen's Terminal.
Description
The all day outdoor festival takes place on the boardwalk at Fishermen's Terminal. Activities include displays from various fishing organizations, water safety demonstrations, live entertainment, survival suit races and children's activities including face painting, boat building, clowns, and hands on projects. A seafood demonstration stage presents information from local chefs and seafood experts on all aspects of seafood from buying to preparing. Fund raising activities with all proceeds going to the Fishermen's Memorial Committee include a Salmon BBQ by members of the fishing industry.
