Mission Statement

Family Stress Center's mission is to prevent and treat child abuse and neglect and to strengthen families in Contra Costa County. We are a community-based nonprofit agency that provides comprenhensive counseling and support services to children and families at risk of or involved in child abuse and neglect.

Description

At FSC we work with the entire family in cases of child abuse and domestic violence, and we are able to stop the cycle of abuse that oftentimes has been passed on for many generations, or to prevent the cycle from beginning, ensuring that children of the future will live free from abuse and neglect. We were founded in 1978 and serve nearly, 5,000 children and adults each year.
