Health Services of North Texas

I volunteered at AIDS Services of Dallas (now AIDS Services of North Texas) throughout my time in high school from 2002-2006. The volunteer coordinator was easy to work with and the clients always seemed extremely grateful for our work. We usually cooked dinner for the residents and ate with them, talking about sports, movies, etc. The real volunteerism was providing social interaction with the clients, many of whom are used to being treated poorly by society in general and rarely make it out of the center. I recommend this site wholeheartedly. They need all the help they can get!
