Mission Statement

The Austin Revitalization Authority is the Central East Austin community working to restore the cultural and economic viability of our neighborhoods. We are a private, non-profit community development corporation. Our board is representative of the demographics in the area.

Description

Through the ARA, the community developed the Central East Austin Master Plan and the E. 11th and 12th Streets Community Redevelopment Plan that guides development of the area bounded by I-35, Airport Blvd, E. 7th Street and Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. Our initial funding came from the City of Austin, and we are partnering with area banks and investors to implement the Plans. Our current projects will develop more than 100,000 sq. ft. of retail and commercial space and over 20 homes.
