Mission Statement

The Wellness Community (TWC) is a national nonprofit organization whose mission is to help people with cancer and their loved ones enhance their health and well being by providing a professional program of emotional support, education and hope. Through participation in professionally led support groups, educational workshops and mind/body programs utilizing the Patient Active concept, people affected by cancer learn coping skills that enable them to regain control, reduce isolation and restore hope regardless of the stage of disease. Most importantly, TWC provides a comfortable, home-like setting for people fighting cancer to connect with and learn from each other.
