Mission Statement
Internationals Network Public Schools ("Internationals") is a non-profit, school development organization which serves recently arrived English language learners (ELLs) and the leaders and faculty who educate this student population. Students in our high schools are in the country four years or less at the time of admission, score in the bottom quartile on English language tests, and are representative of diverse countries, racial and linguistic groups, with over 52 languages spoken in our schools.
Description
Internationals Network provides expertise and professional development support for educators of English language learners who then provide scaffolding and reinforcement based on the Internationals Approach for English language developing students. Our strategic priorities are put into practice through a coordinated matrix of mutually reinforcing programs which cover the spectrum of school and individual support and development, while providing a platform for ELL education reform both locally and nationally.
In School Year 2010-11, Internationals Network served 442 faculty, support staff and administrators, and 4,600 students in fourteen Internationals schools in New York City and California’s Bay Area.
