ShoesThat Fit of Delaware is a local chapter of Shoes That Fit, a national 501c(3) children’s non-profit organization whose mission is to help build the self-esteem of schoolchildren in need by providing them with new shoes and clothing, enabling them to attend school in comfort and with dignity. Shoes That Fit of Delaware is a grass roots effort launched in March of 1999 by Joanne and John Glauser, who juggle the responsibilities of running the local
chapter while working full time. They
share their passion for helping children in need with their children,
Christopher (16) and Elise (12), who work with them to obtain funding, solicit
volunteers, purchase clothing, and deliver to schools and community
centers. Joanne and John work in
conjunction with retirees and local organizations who have volunteered to represent Shoes That Fit

Thanks to the many caring people and corporations of Delaware, Shoes That Fit of Delaware has distributed close to 100,000 items of new
clothing to Delaware youngsters since 1999! To maintain and expand our services throughout our state, Shoes That Fit of Delaware is continuously reaching out to
individuals and organizations to assist. We look forward to your organization’s continued support in this important and rewarding partnership.
