Mission Statement

The Newburgh Ministry is a culturally diverse, grass roots community based organization, located in the City of Newburgh's East End. The Ministry offers dignity and hope to those who enter its doors seeking shelter, resources, solace and fellowship. In an atmosphere of care, hospitality and non-violence, the Ministry strives to improve living conditions, transform lives and honor the face of God in all.

Description

The Newburgh Ministry was founded in1983. The defining characteristic and goal of the Ministry is to work in solidarity with people living in poverty addressing the needs identified by the people. The Newburgh Ministry is staffed largely by volunteers. Programs include: Daytime Hospitalaity Area, Play and Learn Children's Center, Thrift Store, Case Management/Referrals and Emergency Shelter for individuals.
