Women's Shelter of South Texas

The Women's shelter was there for me in the late 70's and mid 80's. One afternoon you had a guest speaker (Norma) how she herself had once been in our shoes. She now had a great job and life. I left your shelter and went to Norma's job she placed me in a business school the next day, it was difficult my ex beating me daily. I finally left him and went into hiding. When I graduated I was given a job at that Business School. I could never repay you for my dream come true. Nowadays I work 3 days out of the week at a Law Office and my weekends are mostly free. My husband thinks it's a great idea. I would love to help out at night answering phones ect. Again, thank you for giving me a warm bed ,food and most importantly self-worth.
