Mission Statement

The AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) program at Silver Creek High School is an in-school academic support program for grades 9-12 that prepares students for college eligibility and success. AVID levels the playing field for minority, rural, low-income and other students without a college-going tradition in their families.

Description

AVID places academically average students in advanced classes. We need tutors to help students improve their academic skills in the core subject areas of English, math, and science. These tutors facilitate small group study sessions through active questioning techniques.
