Description

The juvenile drug court is a strength-based program operates using a combination of treatment, community supervision, and judicial intervention. Its focus is on high risk youth before the court whose substance abuse needs are intensive and have negatively impacted self and family. The program capacity is 25 clients each year. It is designed as a 12 month program that includes four phases. The drug court client is required to meet specified treatment and behavioral conditions at each phase level before moving to the next phase. Successful completion of the Juvenile Drug Court Program will result in charges being dismissed. Unsuccessful termination from the program will result in incarceration. We are currently seeking mentors to provide support and encouragement to the JDC client as he/she progresses through the treatment program.
