Mission Statement
The mission of Baykeeper is to protect and enhance the water quality of the San Francisco Bay-Delta estuary and its tributaries for the benefit of its ecosystems and human communities.
Description
San Francisco Baykeeper is the Bay’s most effective advocate, taking on the greatest threats to the health of the Bay and the wildlife and communities that depend on it. Baykeeper uses advocacy, science, and legal action to rein in Bay pollution, and engages a diverse community of stakeholders to protect water quality, improve climate resilience, and restore habitat health.

Baykeeper is a small organization trying to make a significant impact by protecting and enforcing water quality standards in the Bay Area. I have not participated in the new investigator program, but from what I have heard, it sounds like a great opportunity to help make a very real and lasting impact in the effort to curb stormwater pollution.
