Mission Statement

The mission of the Talkeetna Historical Society is the encourage the preservation and use of Alaska's historic resources as a cultural, economic and educational set.

Description

The Talkeetna Historical Society Museum is little gem in search of a caring hand to help brighten its sparkle after a long winter. In return for 20 hours of work a week, we offer free RV parking including water and power hook-up (local dump station available), right in the heart of our vibrant and historic town. Work consists of clerking, general yard and building maintenance as well as miscellaneous other light duties. The incredible town of Talkeetna is nestled in the heart of Alaska, close to Mt. McKinley and makes an ideal home base from which to explore this amazing state. Help us preserve our heritage and experience small town Alaska. If interested or for more information, please contact us at 907-733-2487 or by email to museum@talkeetnahistoricalsociety.org.
