Mission Statement
The Food Pantry Farm Incorporated provides goods, organic produce (vegetables) to the Springs Presbyterian Church Food Pantry, The East Hampton Food Pantry, the Amagansett Food Pantry, and the Sag Harbor Food Pantry. Each of these organizations in turn distributes the produce to needy and hungry families in the area. At present [2008] over 300 families receive fresh organic produce grown by the Food Pantry Farm, and during periods of the year when there is a lack of seasonal employment in the area, over 600 families receive produce. In the future Food Pantry Farm may provide produce to other similar charitable organizations.
Description
We grow fresh, organic produce on three acres of farmland in East Hampton, Long Island, New York. Everything we grow is donated currently to five local food pantries. In 2011 we donated over 17 tons of produce. We have one employee, a field manager.
