It is inevitable, you or someone you love will be faced with caring for someone with cancer once in their lifetime. What will you do? How will you cope? Where do you turn for help? Until recently these questions would require much time and research to answer. No single organization had the answer until Here to Serve was established in 2011. We need an "on fire" grant writer that is as excited about what we do as our board members and volunteers are! Someone who sees the answer to help hundreds, if not tens of thousands of individuals and families once we get the funding. We seek someone located in the U.S. that speaks fluent English, with at least 2-5 years of successful fundraising/grant-writing experience. Someone that knows how to establish relationships with foundations and understands the full grant-writing cycle and award process. Here to Serve fills a niche that no other organization has to date. We need someone excited to tell our story in such a compelling way that foundations will feel driven to support our work! About Here to Serve We believe a child or young parent’s cancer diagnosis is a life-altering " journey ." For that reason, the care and support of the family are required to prevent parent(s) from losing their physical and mental health, home, job, and entering into bankruptcy.
