Mission Statement

Family Support & Connections is a program of Klamath & Lake Community Action Services.

Klamath & Lake Community Action Services (KLCAS) improves the lives of our citizens by combating the conditions and causes of poverty in Klamath and Lake Counties. KLCAS provides strategic services directly and through social alliances, empowering people to become self-reliant contributing members of our community.

Our goal is to move people from dependence on public programs to economic self-sufficiency by treating the symptoms as well as addressing the causes of poverty.

Description

Family Support & Connections assists low income families with children in the home. We offer workshops, parenting groups, family development, resource and referral and family mentoring. Our volunteer family mentors meet with families for one hour each week to offer enouragement as the famiy sets and works toward personal and family goals.
