It takes both short and long-term action to address Africa’s most serious problems. The greatest challenges Africans face are not droughts or hunger.

Eighty percent of sub-Saharan Africa's population consists of farmers and rural entrepreneurs. However, most do not understand how to maximize the small amount of land they own, how to radically increase crop production and move from subsistence farming to market based agriculture, and how to develop other business skills needed to earn a solid living wage.

For these reasons Eliminate Poverty Now focuses on immediate and long-term solutions to help some of the world’s poorest regain their dignity and move permanently out of the vicious cycle of abject poverty.
