Mission Statement

Karma Volunteer Vacations (KVV) links volunteers with underserved orphanages and foster homes in developing countries around the world. Our mission is to facilitate a positive experience for those interested in a meaningful, service-driven pre/post vacation adventure, and to provide orphanages with both short-term assistance and potential long-term supporters.

Description

KVV is the world’s only website not charging hundreds or thousands of dollars to volunteer in orphanages and foster homes. To join KVV, volunteers pay a tax-deductible donation of $100 to access our list of global orphanages, $75 of which is given directly to the orphanage of the volunteer’s choosing. Members are then free to browse orphanages in parts of Latin America, Africa and Asia; we will then connect the volunteer(s) with the orphanage they wish to work at. Our goal is to offer the utmost flexibility in planning a volunteer stint, as every bit of support - be it a few afternoons a week, a couple of hours or a solid month of volunteer work - is valuable to orphanages the world over.
