Cumberland County Search and Rescue

Mission Statement

Cumberland County Search and Rescue is an all-volunteer emergency response team that has been serving Cumberland County and surrounding areas in South Central Pennsylvania for the last twelve years. We are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week, all year round.

While our team specializes in wilderness search and rescue operations, we also perform search operations in urban, suburban, and rural environments. We might be searching for a lost child, an overdue hiker or hunter, or a patient with Alzheimer’s or dementia who has wandered off. We have also assisted local police departments with evidence searches at crime scenes.
