Mission Statement

To educate the Latino community about cultural denial, HIV/AIDS and to build an eternal monument to honor our loved ones who have died of AIDS.

Description

Founded in 1993, The Wall-Las Memorias Project provides education and prevention services to thousand of individuals including churches, high schools, elected officials and families. The monument itself, is located in Lincoln Park, it's a family and culturally sensitive place where families can gather while creating awareness in the Latino community. The monument consist of two name panels, six art panels and an archway set in a landscaped are with benches and gardens. Currently we are collecting names applications for the panels that will display the names of our loved ones who have died of AIDS. if you would kike more information on the monument visit us at www.thewalllasmemorias.org
