Mission Statement

OUR MISSION is to provide food and resources to those in need while empowering dignity and independence to those we serve in our community.

Description

Southern Anoka Community Assistance (SACA) is a 501 c 3 non-profit food shelf located in Columbia Heights. SACA has been serving the communities of Columbia Heights, Hilltop, Fridley and Spring Lake Park for 44 years. We are now serving part of NE Minneapolis as well. Using the Client Choice food shelf model, we serve an average of 1,430 in crisis families (an average of 3,450 people), giving out almost 58,000 pounds of food monthly. We work closely with schools, police and fire departments to bring food and hygiene products to in need students. SACA also has a low barrier homeless program and a delivery service for home bound seniors and people with disabilities called SACA Delivers. We also give out Christmas toys and a complete holiday meal for either Thanksgiving or Christmas.
