Mission Statement
In 1991, Colgate introduced Bright Smiles Bright Futures (BSBF), an oral health education program designed to improve the oral health of underserved children. BSBF has exposed 8 million children and families annually to positive oral health education messages and/or provided free received dental screenings for children ages 1 through 12. This success has been achieved through partnerships with the National Dental Association, Hispanic Dental Association, other professional organizations/dental schools, a host of community volunteers, and public/private and civic organizations.
Description
BSBF Objective: Demonstrate that groups of individuals and organizations working together in the community can improve the oral health of inner-city children. BSBF Goal: Teach undersered children and their families how to prevent dental disease.
