We make Jewish knowledge accessible through the BJE Jewish Community Library with the largest public collection of Jewish books in Northern California, family programs, and cultural and literary events.
Description
The Jewish Community Library is Northern California's largest public collection of Jewish books: more than 30,000 titles, from mysticism and meditation to histories of the Jews and Judaism, from cookbooks to art books, from the latest novels by Jewish authors to biblical texts and children's books.
The Library organizes free events and all are welcome. There are programs for children and families in English and in Hebrew, literay and cultural events for adults, and ongoing programs including a monthly geneaology clinic and a drop-in book club. The Library also has changing art exhibitions year round.
