Mission Statement
Operation Homelink is an all volunteer, non-profit organization with a mission of providing laptops to wounded warriors and veterans plus facilitating e-mail between service members deployed overseas and their families back home.
Description
Operation Homelink is a small, all volunteer, non-profit organization founded in Nov., 2002 in support of service members and their families.
Most members of the military have e-mail access on ships and even in desert outposts. Often times, however, lower income families are not able to afford a computer and must rely on expensive phone calls or regular mail to stay in touch. Operation Homelink addresses this problem by providing a refurbished computer to the spouse or parents of troops within the lowest level pay grades (E1-E5) as well as wounded warriors and veterans.
With help from supporters including Raytheon, Dell, Litl and Southwest Airlines, to date we have provided computers to 6,400 military service members and their families.
We offer this service on behalf of our donor corporations as an illustration of their strong appreciation to the courageous men and women serving our country
Large donations of used computers are needed to help the thousands of qualified recipients in need of a laptop.
