Description
Volunteers are part of the Museum's history. Volunteers have played an important role at the Mobile Museum of Art since it was first established in 1963. In fact, it was volunteer members of the founding organization that helped create the mobile Art Gallery, which is how the Museum was first known. Since that time, the Museum has gone through several name changes and expansions becoming the largest art museum along the Gulf Coast from Tampa to New Orleans. One thing that hasn't changed is how volunteers continue to be a vital part of the continued growth and successful operations at the Mobile Museum of Art.
