Mission Statement

The Court Appointed Special Advocate Program commissions community volunteers to serve as an effective voice in court for abused and neglected children, strengthening efforts to ensure that each child is living in a safe, permanent, and nurturing home.

Description

The CASA volunteer advocates for the best interest of the child. The CASA will assess the case by interviewing individuals involved and reviewing documents. The CASA provides a written report for each court hearing outlining the findings and facts, and providing recommendations. The CASA will monitor the case to determine if services are being provided and complied with, and to advise the Court if problems or concerns develop.
