We aim, "to improve healthy behaviors for all Georgians, as it relates to nutrition, physical activity and food insecurity’ by using hands-on cooking instructions and education in an effort to sustain behavior change for the individual and the community."

Description

Since 1994, Cooking Matters has been committed to providing the culinary and nutritional tools for families to make healthy decisions from the grocery store to the kitchen. Cooking Matters engages chefs and nutritionists from the community and offers dynamic and learner-centered 6 week courses for families, teens, kids, even child care professionals. GPAN Cooking Matters held its first course in 2009 and hasn't stopped since. Today, courses are held in the metro Atlanta area and its surrouding suburbs, with plans to expand beyond Atlanta.
