The PVIFF 50 Stars Program mission is to improve the educational
achievement rate of children beyond high school in underserved communities of
Southwest Atlanta (SWATs) and aiding in molding future leaders with aspiring
dreams in the arts & technology. A PVIFF 50 Stars Graduate will be one who
embodies our five ideals of S (Self-Sustainment), T (Teamwork), A (Academic
Excellence), R (Respect), and S (Strength of Mind).
We serve elementary,
middle, and high school youth living in low and mixed income public housing
communities through our weekly tutoring program.
The goals of the PVIFF 50 Stars Program are to improve academic
skills, increase the self-esteem, positively impact the attitudes about learning
and school, improve school attendance, serve as positive role models, provide
personal encouragement, decrease the number of students repeating grade levels,
and increase the graduation rate for children living low- and mixed- income
public housing communities. We serve elementary, middle, and high school youth
living in low and mixed income public housing communities.
