It is the duty of the Nassau County Auxiliary Police to assist the Police Department as "eyes & ears", to protect life & property, deter crime, & preserve the public peace within the confines of Nassau County. Membership affords citizens the opportunity to assist the Police Department in its efforts to police the County of Nassau. This program helps develop better understanding between the police and the people they serve. It promotes public cooperation that leads to greater police effectiveness.
The Nassau County Auxiliary Police Section is conducting ongoing recruitment for new members. The Auxiliary Police are made up of residents from communities throughout Nassau County which: Patrol in marked vehicles helping to make their community a safer place to live. Help prevent criminal activity. Direct traffic at parades and special events. Serve during disasters and other emergencies.
I would very likely recommend this organization to a friend because later on in their future they will have more opportunities in any colleges. Also, they will decide later on if they will continue with that career.
