Mission Statement
CASA of Liberty/Chambers Counties advocates for the best interests of abused and neglected children in the court system, through the training and support of community volunteers.
Description
CASA of Liberty/Chambers Counties is a child advocacy organization, dedicated to being a voice for children in the foster care system.
Our volunteers go through 30-hours of training, and are appointed by a judge to speak on behalf of the best interests of an individual child while in the care of the state.
Our volunteers do not serve as foster placements for the children, nor do they take the place of CPS.
CASA volunteers make sure that the child welfare system meets the individual needs of a child in its care, inspite of being understaffed and overwhelmed by the number of children entering into it each day.
