Daughters of the British Empire (DBE) is a National non-profit American Society open to women of British or Commonwealth birth or ancestry and wives whose husbands are of British or Commonwealth heritage. Our purpose is to raise funds for our retirement Home and local charities in our community and to have as much fun as possible while doing so. We meet monthly in member’s homes, drink a lot of tea, and make lifelong friendships. We put on luncheons, bazaars, garage sales and summer get-togethers. We enjoy visiting area restaurants, movie nights, craft mornings and having a good laugh. We are Brits, Canadians, Kiwis, Aussies, and South African, we’ve come from Bahamas, Barbados, India, you name it.
