Evergreen City Ballet cultivates talent by providing professional training and performance opportunities to young people from all backgrounds. ECB offers high caliber ballet performances to diverse and expanding audiences in south King County. The ECB School offers pre-performance ballet classes for aspiring professionals along with a variety of dance, from hip hop to the lindy hop, to people of all ages. Our reputation as one of the Northwest’s most successful dance institutions has brought us national recognition for many years. Several of our dancers have gone on to careers with renowned ballet companies such as the San Francisco Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet and Oregon Ballet Theatre. ECB’s Dance Alive! outreach program has grown from serving 2,300 to over 10,000 since its inception in 2008. This program serves elementary school children, at no cost to them, in six school districts. Often, for the first time, children get a chance to express themselves through dance. ECB is unique to the region as we provide: outstanding dance instruction and performances in a wide range of styles; community outreach and education; employment for talented young dancers.
