Mission Statement

To preserve and make available to the public, historical records and artifacts pertaining to historic rural life in the Mint Hill area, in order to promote interest and pride in the history of the area, while also providing opportunities for cultural education to the community at large.

Description

The Carl J McEwen Historic Village is under the direction of the Mint Hill Historical Society. The Country Doctor's building and the Country Store are fully restored museums on the site. An old schoolhouse, meat curing building and gold assay office are newly acquired buildings in the restoration process. The site is open for tours and educational programs.
