Description

HNC was formed in February of 2001 with a single purpose to make a tangible impact on the local Hollywood community. By utilizing local businesses and organizing special events, we have been raising money and granting funds to 26 vital non-profit groups serving a variety of community needs (from education and artistic development to housing, community gardening and fighting homelessness) in the past three years, some of which include Boys and Girls Club, LACER, YMCA, Oasis, LA bridges, Braille Institute, H.E.L.P., Project Angel Food, Ivar Hills Neighborhood Association, MTM Sports, L. A. Youth Network, Hollywood Arts Council, CA Youth Theatre at the Ivar Theatre, Hollywood High, Neighborhood Association, etc. We are also a leading agency to improve and develop Hollywood Recreation Center on Cahuenga and Santa Monica Boulevards into a much needed Youth and Family Urban Park (working name: Centre of the Universe) for the community and the city. The project has been awarded $3.5 Million in grants, we are currently raising $2.5 to complete the financing stage.
