Mission Statement
Representative Mike Cooper is running for Commissioner of Public Lands. The Commissioner of Public Lands oversees the management of state-owned forests and rangeland- land that belongs to all the people in Washington. Doug Sutherland is looking out for the interests of the private timber companies, not the public's interest. Doug Sutherland plans to increase timber harvests in our state forests by 35%. This puts our forests & our state's clean drinking water at risk! It is time to establish a clear and concise policy: Washington State will manage its precious natural resources for future generations, NOT for short term gain.
