Mission Statement

The mission of Daytop New Jersey is to deliver a comprehensive substance abuse co-occurring disorders treatment and education program to male and female adolescents. The program is individualized, family-based, cost effective, peer-oriented and multi-disciplinary in nature. Special emphasis is placed on treating those adolescents without adequate financial resources and/or in need of an alternative to incarceration.

Description

Daytop NJ is behaviorally based and individualized to meet the needs of adolescents (male and female) with substance abuse problems. In addition, clients are assisted with conflict resolution, anger management and other emotional concerns. Family participation is strongly encouraged, as it is an integral component to recovery.

Mental health/co-occurring disorders - Daytop recognizes and is committed to working with those adolescents who have a diagnosis of a co-occurring mental health disorder in addition to their substance abuse disorder (i.e. depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder).

At Daytop - The following treatments are offered:
Residential Treatment - variable length from 5 - 12 months
Intensive Outpatient - three to five visits per week
