Mission Statement

The Rural AIDS Action Network exists to organize, develop and sustain caring volunteer communities that serve and support persons living with, affected by, or at risk for HIV/AIDS in the rural midwest.

Description

The Rural AIDS Action Network [RAAN] consists of 3000 volunteers and professionals available to assist persons living with, affected by, and at risk for HIV/AIDS in rural Minnesota. These are organized into 14 multi-county service networks around the state. We provide free, confidential, and local HIV testing, and operate 5 Rural Centers for HIV Care that offer medical care, mental health out-patient services, dental care, and referral services. These Centers are supported by local RAAN networks and RAAN case managers.
